Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Heidelberg
Arrival in the Heidelberg area. Dinner and accommodation in your hotel in Heidelberg or surroundings.

 

Day 2: Heidelberg – Rüdesheim – Rhine Boat Trip – Koblenz
After today‘s breakfast in your hotel continue to Rüdesheim which is known all over the world for its cheerful and romantic atmosphere. Then embark on a boat trip on the Rhine passing beautiful historic towns and romantic villages rich in history. Once arrived in Koblenz, a city beautifully situated at the confluence of Rhine and Moselle, discover its most interesting places during a guided city tour. Dinner and accommodation in your hotel in Koblenz or surroundings.

 

Day 3: Koblenz – Moselle Valley – Trier
In the morning continue your tour and drive up the Moselle valley from Koblenz to Trier. During today‘s voyage, you will pass a very typical area of Germany with picturesque landscapes, little villages and medieval towns. In Bernkastel-Kues, a very typical and traditional Moselle town, you should grasp the opportunity to taste local wines. Then continue your tour towards Trier, Germany‘s oldest city, where you will undertake a guided city tour. Among other places you can admire the Roman city gate Porta Nigra, market square, and the Cathedral “Liebfrauenkirche”, built in gothic style. Dinner and accommodation in Trier or surroundings.

 

Day 4: Trier – Aachen – Cologne
Today, your tour will continue to Aachen, founded by Romans, burial place of Charlemagne and therefore renowned World Cultural Heritage Site. During your guided city tour though the historic centre you will see the Cathedral, which was the first UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site registered in Germany. In the afternoon continue your tour to Cologne, boasting history as well. During a city tour your local guide will show you the famous gothic Cathedral and the historic town centre. Dinner and accommodation in Cologne or surroundings.

 

Day 5: Cologne – Bonn – Würzburg
Continue to Bonn today, Germany‘s provisional capital until the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989. Also, Bonn is Ludwig van Beethoven‘s birth place. During a city tour your local guide will show you renowned places in Bonn, some of which are linked to the former government. Then continue to Würzburg. Your local guide expects you to discover history, romantic streets and alleys of this wonderful city. Dinner and accommodation in Würzburg or surroundings.

 

Day 6: Departure after Breakfast
