Itinerary

Day 1: Passau – embarkation
Individual journey to Passau. Embarkation will start at 4.00 pm. “Cast-off!” at 6.00 pm. While your cruiser will pass the ‘Schlögener Schlinge’ bend, you will have time to discover your “swimming hotel”. Before dinner there will be a welcome reception by your cruise director who will give you an overview of your cruise.

 

Day 2: Wachau (UNESCO World Heritage)
After breakfast you can enjoy the romantic Wachau landscape. On Sun Deck, you will be able to experience this section of the Danube which is said to be the most beautiful with legendary castles and towns surrounded by vineyards. After your lunch, there will be a short stop in Spitz to get on to your coach excursion. Here, you will be able to chose between various exciting excursions (optional), such as a “Wachau Tour”, “Göttweig Abbey”, the “Kittenberg Experience Gardens” or “All About Apricots”. After your arrival in Krems, return on board and continue your cruise.

 

Day 3: Budapest (UNESCO World Heritage)
Budapest will be reached after lunch. You can join a sightseeing tour (optional) in the afternoon. Besides other places, you will be able to see the Fish­ermens’ Bastion. One of today’s highlights will be an evening cruise along Budapest which will allow for wonderful views of the lit up city.

 

Day 4: Budapest – Esztergom/Danube Bend
Time for an individual stroll through Budapest. Experience the highlight of your visit to Hungary during an excursion to the picturesque Danube Bend (optional). In Szentendre, the “gateway to the Danube Bend” you will have the possibility to discover the historic centre on your own. Continue to Esztergom, where your cruiser will be awaiting you for dinner. You will leave Esztergom at night and continue to Bratislava.

 

Day 5: Bratislava – Vienna (UNESCO World Heritage)
In the morning, your cruiser will have reached Bratislava. A sightseeing tour will reveal the city’s major touristic highlights. Return for lunch on board. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to explore the capital of Slovakia on your own or join an excursion to Schloss Hof (optional), Austria’s largest palace in the countryside which has gained back its traditional glamour, its original dignity and its former purpose of hosting gorgeous festivities. Your excursion will end at Hainburg where you will return on board for dinner. Thereafter, continuation to Vienna.

 

Day 6: Vienna (UNESCO World Heritage)
Today, you will have the choice to join a half-day sightseeing tour (optional) in the morning (leisure in the afternoon) or a full-day tour of Vienna (optional) including a visit to Schloss Schönbrunn palace. In the evening continuation towards Melk Abbey.

 

Day 7: Vienna – Melk-Emmersdorf
Enjoy scenic views of the beautiful Wachau landscape in the morning as your cruiser will moor at Melk/Emmersdorf. Visit Melk Abbey (optional), a jewel of Austrian baroque style, or enjoy an individual stroll through the idyllic village of Emmersdorf with its historic district, also known as the “gateway to the Wachau region”.

 

Day 8: Passau – disembarkation after breakfast
Arrival in Passau. Disembarkation after breakfast.
