Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Frankfurt Airport
After your arrival at Frankfurt Airport transfer to your hotel in the Frankfurt area. Dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 2: Frankfurt – Rüdesheim – Cologne
After breakfast carry on to Rüdesheim. The small town on the Rhine is world-famous for its romanticism and joy. Discover the atmosphere during a walk through the famous Drosselgasse. After this you will embark on a boat trip on the Rhine, one of Europe‘s main waterways. During this trip you will observe splendid towns and beautiful castles. After disembarkation continue to Cologne. Dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 3: Cologne – Hamburg
Today you will undertake in a guided tour of Cologne. You will see Cologne‘s Cathedral, the historic town centre, the city hall, the Rhine embankment and much more. Before leaving in the direction of Hamburg, there will be time for lunch and a beer in one of Cologne‘s famous ale houses. Thereafter, continue to Hamburg. Dinner and accommodation.

 

Day 4: Hamburg
Hamburg is one of the most interesting places in the world. Your local guide has his ways how to transmit this first impression of this interesting big city; a boat trip through Hamburg‘s harbour which extends over a distance of 15 kms along the river Elbe. Besides being Germany‘s most important seaport, it radiates a very special cosmopolitan atmosphere. The facades along the Alster embankment intensify this impression of Hamburg‘s hanseatic and metropolitan character with large parks, famous churches and beautiful squares. In the afternoon you will leave Hamburg and continue to Berlin, Germany’s capital. Dinner and accommodation at your hotel in Berlin.

 

Day 5: Berlin
During a guided tour through Berlin you can feel the lively spirit of this bustling city. See the Reichstag and the government district, the city gate Brandenburger Tor, the Alexanderplatz, the Museums island, the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Memorial Church, the famous shopping mile Kurfürstendamm and more. Dinner and accommodation at your hotel in Berlin.

 

Day 6: Potsdam – Berlin
After breakfast continue to Potsdam for a guided city tour. You will learn much about the city of parks and castles which was shaped by Dutch immigrants. Potsdam is famous due to it’s beautiful Sanssouci Palace. In the early afternoon you will return to Berlin and have time for your own discoveries. Dinner and accommodation in Berlin.

 

Day 7: Berlin – Dresden
This morning you will leave Berlin and continue to Dresden. During a guided tour you will see the Frauenkirche (Ladies Church) completely destroyed during World War II and now rebuilt, the Zwinger, the Semper Opera and much more. Dinner and accommodation in Dresden.

 

Day 8: Dresden – Nuremberg – Munich
Today you embark on a journey to Bavaria‘s capital Munich. On the way, there will be time for lunch in Nuremberg, famous for its tasty ginger bread and spicy sausages. Take some time to discover the medieval city walls, the Holy-Spirit-Hospital from 1331 and the picturesque historic town centre. After that, continue your journey to Munich. Dinner and accommodation at your hotel in Munich.

 

Day 9: Munich – Freiburg
Start your day with a guided city tour in Munich. Your local guide will show you the most important places. After some time at leisure, continue through the Allgäu aera to lake Constance. Along its beautiful shores and through the lovley Black Forest you will arrive at Freiburg. Dinner and accommodation in the Freiburg area.

 

Day 10: Freiburg – Heidelberg – Frankfurt
After breakfast you will undertake a guided city tour of Freiburg and can admire its typical little alleys and the gothic Cathedral. Then continue to Heidelberg, beautifully set at the mouth of the Neckar valley and visit its famous castle. In the afternoon continue to the Frankfurt area. Dinner and accommodation at your hotel.

 

Day 11: Frankfurt – Airport Transfer
After breakfast your coach will take you on a city tour through Frankfurt. Depending on departure time transfer to the airport.
